Player Ratings as Gunners Dominate Blues

Arsenal ended their US tour with a resounding 4-0 win over London rivals Chelsea in the Florida Cup.

The Gunners dominated from the start, taking advantage of a Chelsea side that looked undercooked and uncertain in their new 4-2-3-1 system. The Blues struggled to strengthen against a frantic Arsenal press, and Mikel Arteta’s men were able to keep the pressure on accordingly.

Gabriel Jesus opened the scoring midway through the first half with a deft flick over Edouard Mendy before their lead was doubled before the break thanks to an accurate finish from Martin Odegaard.

Chelsea recovered at the break and returned to their typical back three which saw them improve, but it was the Gunners who scored the third through Bukayo Saka.

The pace of the competition slowed as both managers sounded the changes, with Arsenal heading home with a comfortable 4-0 triumph after Albert Sambi Lokonga put the finishing touches to victory with a header from close range.

Here are Arsenal’s player ratings after Saturday night’s Florida Cup victory.

Aaron Ramsdale (GK) – 7/10 – Rarely tested and stellar cast. It was a good night for Rambo,

Ben White (RB) – 6/10 – At ease defensively and overlaps regularly. Important minutes for White after recovering from a minor problem.

Guillaume Saliba (BC) – 7.5/10 – Yes, Arsenal have a good one. It wasn’t the busiest night for Saliba, but every action he took was assured. Super fast recovery runner.

Gabriel (CB) – 7/10 – The Brazilian’s aggression deterred Kai Havertz, who was not sniffed out by the Arsenal defence. Like Saliba, Gabriel wasn’t particularly busy despite playing the full 90, but he didn’t take the wrong foot

Oleksandr Zinchenko (LB) – 6/10 – Fitted in perfectly at left-back and produced several moments of technical genius before being substituted at half-time.
