WASHINGTON, June 30, 2021 / PRNewswire / – This 4th July, PBS ‘ A FOURTH CAPITOLCelebration of America’s Independence Day will feature the world premiere of multi-platinum music legend Jimmy buffett version inspired by the classic Americana, “This Land is Your Land”. Saved in Southern california Overlooking the Pacific Ocean, interspersed with iconic scenes from across the country including the Golden Gate Bridge, the Statue of Liberty and the Grand Canyon, the show also includes coral reef group members Mike utley on the keys and Robert greenidge on steel drums. Originally written in 1940 by a folk singer Woody guthrie, “This Land is Your Land” was only recorded in April 1944 in new York when Guthrie was ashore on leave from the Merchant Navy. In 2002, it became one of the 50 recordings chosen that year by the Library of Congress to add to National register of registrations. Buffett has already played on the 2018 edition of A FOURTH CAPITOL with the Broadway cast of the musical Escape to Margaritaville.

The show will also feature a patriotic 4th July message to the American people wishing everyone a happy and secure Independence Day from the three NASA astronauts on the International Space Station, Robert Shane Kimbrough, Megan McArthur and Mark T. Vande Hei.
The world’s most famous international amphibious film and television star will also join the already announced lineup. Kermit the frog and Broadway and TV star Christophe jackson. Jackson will perform “My Country Tis of Thee”, while Kermit the Frog will help celebrate America’s 245th birthday with a special performance.
Hosted by a multi-platinum artist and Broadway TV, film and stage star Vanessa williams, the 41st annual broadcast of A FOURTH CAPITOL aired on PBS Sunday, July 4, 2021 of 8 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. ET, as well as to our troops serving around the world on the United States Force Network.
