Jazz legend John Stockton in vaccine conspiracy documentary

Utah Jazz legend John Stockton appears to have bigger concerns than the potential elimination of his former team from the playoffs.

As the Jazz face a 3-2 deficit heading into Friday night’s Game 6 against the Cilppers, a video of the NBA’s assists leader’s appearance in an anti-vaccine documentary was circulating on Twitter.

“It’s not a virus that’s cheating on us about this opportunity,” he says in the 19-second clip, with ominous music. “It’s the guys who make the decisions and say, ‘No, no, we’re too scared. We’re going to shut everything down. Sit at home and be careful. My children and grandchildren hear these things and accept them as the truth when I know from my extensive research that they are not, it is very frustrating.

The documentary, titled “Covid and the Vaccine: Truth, Lies and Misconceptions Revealed”, would have also features a source claiming the pandemic is ‘made up’.

Thanks to the growing number of vaccinations, the number of cases in California and at national scale are reaching lows not seen since the start of the pandemic, when testing was scarce. The dead also fall.

The three vaccines that have been approved under the Emergency Use Clearance from the FDA are considered safe and effective.

Stockton quickly became the butt of the joke on Twitter after his comments surfaced.

“Little piece of history. Stockton actually just sent a vaccine to [Michael Jordan’s] hotel room before the flu match ”, a user joked.

The documentary website advertise “Real answers” to questions such as “Has America Heard the Facts?” “And” Do masks really work? He also cites Robert Kennedy Jr., a long-standing anti-vaccine conspiracy.

The Jazz and the Clippers end at 7:00 p.m. PDT on Friday night.
