Country music singer/songwriter Dustin Lynch, with special guest Sean Stemaly, will perform his Party Mode Tour at 8 p.m. April 2 at 1st Summit Arena @ Cambria County War Memorial, 326 Napoleon St. in downtown Johnstown .
Lynch has built a steady recording career in country music, achieving eight No. 1 hits, four top-five albums, eight gold and platinum certified singles, and counting over 3 million global on-demand streams.
The tour supports Lynch’s fifth studio album, “Blue in the Sky”, which was released on February 11.
The album is the long-awaited sequel to ‘Tullahoma’, which delivered back-to-back platinum hits ‘Ridin’ Roads’ and ‘Good Girl’.
In addition to the hit “Momma’s House,” the new album features previously released collaborations, including “Thinking ‘Bout You,” featuring MacKenzie Porter; “Tequila On A Boat”, with Chris Lane; and “Huntin’ Land,” featuring Riley Green, as well as country classics “Pasadena” and “Not Every Cowboy.”
Since Lynch’s “Cowboys and Angels” breakthrough platinum in 2012, he’s headlined to packed houses and toured with the biggest names in the country, such as Luke Bryan, Florida-Georgia Line and Brad Paisley.
The Tennessee native has also earned industry recognition as a member of the Grand Ole Opry.
“It’s exciting because of what it means beyond the fact that he’s an artist that a lot of country music fans know very well and are very excited for him to come to the area,” said Chad Mearns, head of marketing and ticketing for 1st Summit. Arena.
“It also represents a return to concerts in the arena. This is the first music concert we have scheduled since the pandemic. »
Before the doors open at 6:30 p.m., a pre-concert party will take place at 5 p.m. on the sidewalk in front of the arena.
Froggy 95.5 radio will be broadcasting live and there will be concession sales.
“We want people to come out and celebrate a little bit,” Mearns said.
“It fits with Dustin Lynch’s party mode tour, and it’s totally in line with what his music is about: partying, having a good time with friends and enjoying life. It’s also a great way to celebrate the return of concerts at the 1st Summit Arena.
Mearns said the concert drew an enthusiastic response from the audience and generated strong ticket sales.
“From the day the tickets went on sale, it was obvious that this was a show that people were really excited to see,” he said.
“The general admission booth area was sold out in five minutes. We’ve had a lot of interest every day with people buying tickets online, through their mobile and coming to the box office. »
Mearns said that due to the great interest, the promoter has made more places available.
“The fact that it’s a Saturday night show in early spring, we think it’s just going to be a good atmosphere for people to go out and listen to good music,” he said.
