LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Justin Moore, a multi-platinum country music star, joins The Buzz’s Morning Driving Show as a co-host.
According to The Buzz, Moore will host Morning Mayhem alongside longtime radio personalities David Bazzel, Roger Scott and RJ Hawk.
Moore replaces Arkansas radio personality Tommy Smith, who announced his retirement just seven days ago.
Smith was an Arkansas radio set for over 40 years and joined The Buzz in 2004.
Moore is best known for his career in country music, having sold over 5 million records of his chart-topping songs. However, according to the station, he’s excited to try something new.
“I am delighted to be a part of a show that is solely devoted to talking about life in Arkansas – whether it’s heated debates about Razorback sports or other topics of interest to listeners,” he said. Moore said. “But make no mistake, my music career will always be a priority.”
The radio station says Moore is a dedicated sports fan and has appeared on both the SEC and ESPN.
âHis knowledge of the Razorbacks is encyclopedic, and his love for the state of Arkansas is as genuine as it is infectious,â Bazzel said. “And, while Justin is a country superstar, he’s also a loving husband and father for his family and his condition.”
According to The Buzz, Moore has been on the air several times as a guest, and station general manager Justin Acri has acknowledged Moore’s genuine love for all things Arkansas.
âJustin is known the world over for his music, but most of all he’s proud to be from Arkansas,â said Acri. âHe has an international fan following him on multiple platforms which we believe will help grow our audience and bring energy to morning radio.
