Announcement of Jazz and Wine evenings at Spindletop

The Spindletop Gladys City Museum announces its first two Jazz and Wine evenings scheduled for Friday April 23 and Friday June 18. Jazz and Wine Nights are simply music and drinks with old friends and new friends. Come relax on a Friday night. Bring your friends and listen to great music. Visitors are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, although some seating is provided by the museum. The cost will be $ 10 per person for non-members and free for museum members. The money raised will go to the building fund to redo the cladding of each of the buildings, update the electricity and install central air units in the buildings.

Each participant will receive 3 tickets for drinks. Red and white wine and some varieties of beer will be served with water and soft drinks. Light refreshments will also be provided by Edible Arrangements.

On June 18, the guest singer is Seth Wade Melancon. Seth is an avid music composer / producer with 8 years in the field of film music and over 13 years of experience in composing, arranging and performing music. Seth has made a name for himself on the Southeast Texas talent scene. He has performed in many halls and churches in the SETX area. Besides performances, he has composed and produced music for numerous films over the years, both short and feature films. He prides himself on being a versatile multi-instrumentalist, demonstrating skill not only in piano performance, but also in cello, guitar, brass / winds and drums.

Also, the War Wagon Cigar Lounge and TAB Typewriter Key Jewelry here too. The War Wagon Cigar Lounge has taken a 1960 Airstream motorhome and turned it into a chill out spot to enjoy a good cigar. TAB Typewriter Key Jewelry sells great accessories made from typewriter keys and other found items. The jewelry is stunning and elegant.


“You can not only enjoy good music and good wine, but also taste a good cigar or buy your loved one a nice necklace,” said manager Troy Gray.

Spindletop-Gladys City Boomtown is a replica of the boomtown that developed around the Spindletop oil fields in the early 1900s. Located on US 69 at Jimmy Simmons Boulevard in Beaumont, the museum is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 am at 5 p.m. and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
